Financial Analyst

Financial Analyst (BBBH5216) Melbourne CBD, Melbourne, Australia

The Company

Founded and developed by a team of industry experts, Stax was created to provide analysis, recommendation, implementation, and maintenance of AWS (Amazon Web Services) ecosystems. They're all about innovation and continuously improving their processes, so you can rest assured if there's a better way of doing something, they'll find it.

As part of the Versent Group, Stax was borne out of the lessons learned and experience gained from delivering cloud foundation solutions to hundreds of customers.

Culture

Stax attracts and retains the highest calibre of ambitious people. Their environment is suited to an enthusiastic,  career-driven and smart person who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high performing business.  You will have the opportunity to progress and own your role. This is not a ‘behind the desk’ type role; we are searching for someone who enjoys working with non-finance stakeholders and driving business performance but also happy to be in the detail as and when required.

The Role

To support the business' anticipated growth, a newly created position has been established that will solely focus on Stax. The Finance Analyst will be embedded in the Stax business and will play a key part in establishing best in class finance processes and procedures that will ultimately ensure that they are set up to support the continued anticipated growth. You will take ownership of improving the core finance functions of Stax, including ensuring that the processes for billings and invoices are set up correctly with appropriate controls around debt collection in place to ensure the customer experience is second to none.

There will be day-to-day transactional accounting work that will be a critical component of the role with support from the Group team at Versent, but this is a broad position that will evolve as the business evolves. We require a commercially focussed individual who will be proactive and driven to support taking the business forward through data analytics, recommendations and questioning the status quo.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have completed their training with one of the Big 4/Mid-tier firms and have gained some experience (2-4 years) in a commercial environment, ideally in a high growth sector.  A confident and engaging style is required with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  You will have an entrepreneurial mindset with a good amount of ambition; you will be excited to work in a fast-growing business where you will have ownership of the finance function and be the conduit between Stax and Versent.
