Location:  Orlando, Florida
Salary:  USD75000 - USD85000 per year


Vaco Technology is looking for a Sr. Java Developer for a permanent position. Candidates should be open to relocation within Florida.

We are unable to offer sponsorship or third party representation for this position.

Qualified candidates will meet the following specifications:

  • Solid understanding of OOP and MVC design principles
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • Java, Servlet spec, JSP, JSTL
    • Grails
    • Hibernate
    • jQuery
    • XML, XHTML
    • JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, web standards
    • Oracle, JDBC
    • Source Control: SVN and Git
    • Eclipse IDE, debugger
    • Apache 2.2, Jetty 6.0 (or other servlet container, e.g. Tomcat) 

The following is a plus:

  • Experience with Hibernate
  • Advanced UI skills
  • HTML5 and Mobile Apps experience
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with automated testing and Test Driven Development
  • Experience with modeling, design, and analysis methodologies
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum
