About the Client
A market leading Main Contractor who have been established for over 20yrs and deliver new build, fit out and refurbishments of projects in the Leisure and Commercial sectors, across the North West. They have an excellent reputation in their field, with long standing relationships with key clients and consultants in the region. They get repeat business from their clients and aim to offer an excellent service when delivering the projects. The company is divided into separate divisions, including refurbishment, high end fit outs, and new build.
About the Role
You will join the new build division as a Projects Manager, and be responsible for managing 2/3 projects ranging in value from £1m to £6m. You will report into the Project Director, and be responsible for taking schemes from planning stage, developing tender programme, sourcing and organising all plant, labour and materials. You will then procure site teams on each project, which will consist of a Site Manager, Site Engineer, Commercial Manager and support staff. Projects are typically within 150 miles of Manchester, so you must be happy to travel between sites and be flexible to stay away from home on occasions if needed. Projects will include new build hotels, extensions, health spas, restaurants, and some high value complex refurbishments. You will ensure that projects are delivered safely, to programme and to the highest standard of finish.
What you need to succeed
You must be honest, hardworking and have a proven track record of success. You will ideally be North West based, have a CV which demonstrates steady career progression. Ideally you will have began your career as a Site Engineer, and then progressed through Site Management on new build and refurbishment projects, up to your current level as a Projects / Contracts Manager. You must have a proven track record of success in the Leisure sector, and have checkable references for such projects. You must have valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid. You will have a strong and assertive personality, and be a confident and clear communicator with clients, colleagues and contractors.
