About the Client

A growing Main Contractor with strong roots in the Construction Industry in the North West are looking to develop a new team within their business. This new division will specialise in delivering design and build residential projects in and around Liverpool City Centre. They have an excellent reputation in their other specialist fields, with long standing relationships with key clients and consultants in the North West region. They have a small but experienced team in place and have a number of projects already secured which will be starting on site in Q2 2020. Two to Four projects will run concurrently throughout the year.  Project values are between £1m - £28m, with £40m in total already secured for start dates, and are typically multi storey design & build schemes. They get repeat business from their clients and aim to offer an excellent service when delivering their projects. 

About the Role

You will join as a site based Project Manager and take ownership of a high rise design & build scheme in Liverpool. You will be Number 1 on the Project, which will be multi million pound in value, and you will run a site team which will include a Site Manager, Assistant Manager, Site Engineer and Project QS. You will oversee the full scheme to handover, and will be responsible for all health & safety. You must come from a strong design & build background, with Tier 1 Contractor experience ideally,  and be capable of managing high rise construction projects up to the value of £20m. The role offers genuine career progression for the right candidate, with an opportunity to progress into an Ops Manager / Project Director position in the future.

What you need to succeed

You must be honest, hardworking and have a proven track record of success. Ideally you will be educated to a degree level and have valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid. A background in Site Engineering is preferable, and you must be a real leader on site. You will have a proven track record of motivating and managing a large workforce, ensuring that programme is kept to and all health & safety is exemplary.
