Are you an experienced Midwife looking for your next contract opportunity in Tasmania?

We are currently seeking experienced Midwives to join the team in Burnie, TAS, providing high-quality maternity care to women and families across the region.

This is a great opportunity to work within a supportive maternity service, utilising your midwifery skills across antenatal, labour and birth, and postnatal care.

Key duties include:

• Providing antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care

• Supporting women throughout labour and birth

• Conducting comprehensive maternal assessments and monitoring

• Providing newborn assessments and care

• Identifying and escalating clinical concerns when required

• Delivering safe, evidence-based and woman-centred care

• Supporting breastfeeding and early parenting education

• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and care plans

• Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Supporting positive outcomes for women, newborns and families

Salary & Package

• Competitive hourly rates -  $72ph + penalty rates

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you will need:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife

• Recent midwifery experience in a hospital maternity setting

• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills

• Current mandatory certifications relevant to the role

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

• Excellent communication and organisational skills
