Lead Cloud Engineer – Cheltenham - Hybrid working, one day in office per week – up to 100k DOE- Azure, DevOps, BID experience

A world leading SaaS company in the engineering sector are going through an exciting period of growth. Over the coming years, the business is integrating their range of products and needs an Azure Certified Lead Cloud Engineer to drive this forward. You will support the integration, delivery and maintenance of these products.

You will be joining as a Lead Cloud Engineer, responsible for leading a team of Cloud Engineers. The role will be a mixture of hands on and hands off. You will need to have hands on experience with IAC / infrastructure as a code, GDPR standards, infrastructure compliance standards, cyber security / info sec. You will build on the existing technologies and processes to improve service and performance levels.

The role:

Lead and support cloud engineers

Support and maintain application infrastructure compliance

Manage and maintain key supplier relationships

Internal and External stakeholder engagement

Oversee the quick resolution of critical issues

Write Bid responses (RFI and RFP)

Ensure disaster recovery procedures are fit for purpose.

Oversee the integration of multiple products

Line Management responsibility for 2 engineers

As the successful Lead Cloud Engineer you will have:

- Expert knowledge of Azure DevOps Management

- Azure technologies and services:

  (Monitoring and alerts, VM’s, Service Bus, Key Vault, Site recovery)

- Developed and maintained IAC using tools such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform / Ansible

- ISO Certifications: 27001, 22301, 9001
- Azure Certification

- Infrastructure as a code experience
- Fantastic Stakeholder Communication
- Agile working methodology (Scrum / Kanban)
- Commercial experience with writing BID responses

- Proficient with ITIL

- Network Principles:

  (Azure Network Security Groups, Load Balancers, Firewalls)

-Ability to analyse, maintain and improve existing solutions.

-Cyber Security Plus

Demonstrate proficiency with:

Azure Technologies:

(API management, App services, Event Hub, Runbrooks)

Migration from legacy platform to modern PaaS

Agile methodology (Scrum / Kanban)

ITIL

Linux familiarity (CentOS or RedHat)
