OT Specialist (BBBH7927) Brisbane, Australia

Salary: AUD1050 - AUD1125 per day
  • East Coast preferred, fully remote
  • $1,050 - $1,140 daily rate contract
  • 12-month contract length, major critical infrastructure business

Join a leading enterprise organisation as an Operational Technology Specialist, supporting a broad portfolio of OT initiatives across mining operations in APAC. This 12-month daily rate contract suits someone who understands the intersection of industrial control systems, mining operations, integration, architecture and pragmatic project delivery.

You’ll work within a lean OT function, partnering with site teams, project teams, functional owners, solution architects and vendors to deliver practical technology outcomes across complex operational environments.

About the role

  • Support OT projects across automation, industrial control systems, fleet management, collision avoidance, remote operations and cyber uplifts
  • Translate operational and business requirements into practical OT solution designs, data flows and integration outcomes
  • Provide SME input across architecture, systems integration, technical risks, design decisions and delivery considerations
  • Work closely with site technology teams, project teams, functional owners and external vendors
  • Contribute to OT architecture artefacts, technical documentation, support models and future-state process improvements
  • Travel to operational sites as required, generally infrequent, but potentially up to one week per month during key project phases

About you

  • Experience across OT, industrial control systems, systems integration, solution architecture or industrial networks
  • Background in mining or heavy industry, ideally with exposure to operational sites and production environments
  • Knowledge of SCADA, DCS, Honeywell, Wonderware, FactoryTalk or similar OT/ICS platforms
  • Ability to understand data flows, integrations and how technology supports operational outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage pragmatic, knowledgeable and time-poor stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a lean team, managing ambiguity and supporting a broad range of OT applications and projects

Experience with ISA-95, OT cyber security, architecture frameworks, IEC 62443, TOGAF or packaged OT solutions would be beneficial, but not essential.
