As the Security Engineer (Cloud & Infra), you will join one of the strongest businesses in the critical infrastructure sector in a permanent full-time capacity, leveraging your expertise in cloud and security. This role is pivotal in an ongoing, business-critical program, where your responsibilities will encompass overseeing, preserving, and reinforcing their cloud-based platforms and services.
About the role:
- Offer expert security guidance for the development, maintenance, and testing of the Azure environment
- Identify and execute improvements to elevate the reliability and performance of their systems
- Maintain vigilance over the health and availability of production environments
- Engage in system design, platform management, and capacity planning
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments on hardware, software, and applications used by the teams.
- Actively report potential threats while proposing and implementing enhancements
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in cyber defense and resilience
- Exhibit agility in responding to security incidents and conducting thorough root cause investigations
- Remain on-call to swiftly address security incidents and proactively mitigate risks
Skills:
- Cloud Security experience including Azure Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) experience
- Strong in automation using Azure runbooks and scripting
- Proficiency in security best practices for cloud platforms, particularly in Azure
- Background in network security monitoring and encryption
- Familiarity with penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and intrusion detection
- Adept in identity and access management solutions
- Familiarity with data protection solutions, including encryption, DLP, backup/recovery, and more
