As Chef de Partie at this illustrious venue near Malton in North Yorkshire, you will lead the day to day operation of a designated kitchen ensuring recipes and specifications are followed and all Health & Safety requirements are adhered to.  Offering a great salary benefit and working hours from 7.30am – 4.00pm which is perfect for creating a work life balance.

The Company – You will be working at one of Britain’s most historic venues, with over 300 years of history in one of 4 catering outlets within the venue.  Occasionally this venue hosts bespoke private event parties that can cater for large amounts of guests.  Due to the location of the venue to fulfil this role you would need access to your own transport.

Role:

• Ensure food is prepared, presented & served consistently to the highest standard
• Assist with any special functions, including those which occur outside normal working hours
• Supervision of any chefs in-line with company policies
• Provide relevant training to colleagues as required
• Carry out regular, consistent stock checks
• Cover any relevant areas of the catering business as required
• Feedback to Lead Chef of issues with recipes, equipment or process

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Catering and Hospitality or similar
• Food Hygiene Level 2 or above
• HACCP Level 2 or above
• AA Rosette Level experience in a kitchen
• Ability to cost and price food items
• Full UK Driving Licence due to the location of the venue

Benefits – The role of Chef de Partie will mean you are required to work 40 hours a week over 5 days of straight shifts starting at 7.30am and finishing at 4.00pm.  Working as a Chef de Partie you will have the opportunity to interact with the public & guests on occasions.
