Currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Restaurant manager for client based in the Helmsley area of North Yorkshire with a salary in the region of £24,000 - £26,000 which would depend on the experience of the candidate.  If successful for the role you would be responsible for the junior management of the restaurant and bar area of the business.  This is a permanent position and offers full time hours working 5 out of 7 days with a varied shift pattern, which would include evenings, weekend and bank holidays.  You would need to be an excellent motivator with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and have experience working in a similar style of venue.

Role:

  • Running and management of the venue in conjunction with the Restaurant Manager, sometimes taking the lead in service
  • Stock management experience including dealing with suppliers and deliveries
  • Staff management including an active role in training junior members of the team
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, but also be self-motivated at certain times
  • Own transport due to business location
  • Take an active part in the opening and closing procedures of the venue

Requirements:

  • Experience hands on management with relevant hospitality experience
  • Proven knowledge of been able to manage a team involving staff development
  • Able to motivate and build relationships with the staff
  • Rosette & Michelin experience preferred but not a necessity
  • To work in a professional manor

Benefits – The role of Duty Manager is offering a competitive starting salary up to £26,000 depending on experience along with a share of staff tips to work up to 50 hours per week.  Due to the location of the business you would require access to your own transport.
