I am actively recruiting for a Domestic Supervisor on a temporary basis to support our client in York on-going, the successful candidate will report into the Domestic Manager and will work with the Estates & Facilities Team.  They will responsible for the supervision of Domestic Staff to provide a safe, effective cleaning service to the trust and other service level agreement users in-line with agreed specifications.  You would be expected to work 37.5hrs a week across days, nights weekends and public holidays and have prior experience in a senior cleaning role.

The Company – You will be working within an NHS Facility in York.

Role:

• Responsible for the Supervision of Domestic Assistants
• Implement procedures to ensure continuous development and improvement of services
• Responsible for supervision of domestic services ensuring high standards of
  cleanliness and working practices are maintained to aid patient wellbeing and help
  reduce hospital acquired infection, seeking advice from clinical staff when required
• Responsible for ensuring correct cleaning methods are adhered to
• Responsible for ensuring Domestic Assistants follow safe systems of work for all
  cleaning tasks whilst observing infection control principles including Bare Below the
  Elbows, colour coding and wearing appropriate PPE
• Responsible for the delivery of training including induction to Domestic Assistants
  including technical cleaning skills to the required level of competency and to develop
  individual’s potential and to meet the directorate and Trust’s objectives in relation to
  training and apply performance management of staff if necessary
• Monitor the attendance of staff and ensure the correct policies in relation to
  sickness/leave are always adhered to
• Investigate as instructed by Domestic Manager Incidents and complaints and
  complete the relevant documentation, e.g. Datix and seek to find solutions to prevent
  reoccurrence
• To attend all training as designated by line manager.
• Attend team meetings as appropriate and cascade information to Domestic
  Assistants
• Monitor the attendance of staff and ensure the correct policies in relation to
  sickness/leave are always adhered to .

Requirements:

• GCSE A-C including Maths & Science
• Supervisory Qualification to Level 3 or above
• Technical Cleaning Knowledge relevant to the role
• HACCP Knowledge
• Previous involvement in training and development
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Benefits – This is an on-going temporary role in York, you will be required to work 37.5hrs a week, which includes days, evenings, weekends and nights.  For this role you will be paid on a Band 3 level and start on a basic pay up to £10.45 per hour and shift premiums could see pay rising to £17.65 per hour, paid weekly and accrue holidays based on hours worked.  The venue is accessible by public transport and there is parking on site.
