We are looking for Full Time Kitchen Porters to work on a permanent basis, this role would involves working in all kitchen areas, undertaking a range of duties to support food production and keeping the food preparation and service areas clean and tidy. You would expect to work 5 out of 7 days with one weekend in every three. Previous experience is not essential but would be a benefit.
The Company – Situated in rural North Yorkshire this multipurpose venue serves up to 2000 meals per day, including banquets, weddings and conferences for up to 400 people.
Role:
- Manual and mechanical washing of tines and pans
- Cleaning of heavy equipment
- Safe use of chemicals
- Maintaining general cleanliness of the kitchen area
- Assisting with basic food preparation
- Removal of waste
- Maintaining cleanliness of external areas
- Attending training sessions as required
- Undertake reasonable requests made by managers
Requirements:
- Awareness of Health & Safety in the workplace
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene
- Previous experience in a busy kitchen and food preparation is desirable
- Good communication skills
- Own transport due to business location
Benefit The pay rate for this role is £8.95 per hour and you would expect to work 40hrs a week over 5 days, you would also have subsided membership of the fitness centre, meals provided during working hours and 22 days holiday a year in addition to public holidays
