MAIN DUTIES:
- To undertake or monitor planned and reactive maintenance activities to keep the venue’s plant and equipment in a serviceable condition.
- To support the development of the Venue’s Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme.
To monitor the activities of contractors employed to maintain the following systems and equipment:
- Fire installation (including fixed and portable appliances)
- Electrical installation(s)
- Gas installations and ancillaries (including catering appliances)
- Water installation (including hot & cold Systems)
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) installations and ancillaries lifts
- Pressure vessels
- Kitchen Extract Systems
- Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS)
To maintain the following Venue documentation:
- Operating and Maintenance Manuals
- Maintenance Hazard and Risk Assessment Folder
- Contractor Service Sheets/Maintenance Records
- Inspection and Test Certification (including Thorough Examination Reports)
To populate the ShieldYourself (web-based) Compliance Centre with the following documentation:
- Contractor Service Sheets/Maintenance Records
- Inspection and Test Certification (including Thorough Examination Reports)
(This is to be in strict compliance with the Corporate Maintenance Directive).
- To maintain the plant in accordance with the Corporate Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme.
- To complete all Maintenance Log Requests (MLR’s) in a timely manner (which may include contractor support).
- The procurement and maintenance of stock levels as detailed in the Venue’s Maintenance Manual.
- Liaise with the Venue Director in procuring the services of contractors and overseeing their activities.
- Undertaking minor repairs and decoration as directed by the Venue Director.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Facility Maintenance Experience
- To have a good understanding of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems.
- To have a good understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.
- Understands the limitations of acquired skills and knows when to seek advice.
- To be able to use own initiative and work autonomously (within the agreed parameters set by the Venue Director).
- Excellent organisational skills.
- To be able to communicate effectively at all business levels (a good understanding of technical English will be necessary).
- To be able to work with deadlines in a fast, dynamic environment.
- Methodical and attentive to detail.
- A high level of personal integrity.

DESIRED SKILLS:
- To have an appropriate electrical or mechanical services qualification (ONC / BTEC or equivalent) with at least two years experience in a similar role.
- Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) Qualification
- City & Guilds 2382-12 (17th Edition)
- City & Guilds 2392-10 (Initial Inspection and Test)
- City & Guilds 2394 (Inspection and Test)
- City & Guilds 2394 / 2395 (Self Certification)
