Assistant Laboratory Technician (Quality Control) – Manchester

We’re recruiting an Assistant Laboratory Technician to support a Quality Control (QC) Laboratory within a manufacturing environment.

Hours

• 06:15–18:30 Monday–Thursday

Pay

• £12.71

Key duties

• Routine QC testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products (to SOPs)
• Record and interpret results to confirm products meet specification
• Support basic process/formulation adjustments (agreed with management)
• Release finished product when all checks meet requirements
• Maintain equipment and complete calibration checks
• Produce reports and share results with customers/internal teams
• Escalate non-conformances and support investigations/corrective actions
• Work closely with Production; provide cover in Development/Production when needed
• Follow all health & safety and quality standards (including ISO/customer requirements)

Essential

• Lab or manufacturing experience (QC preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data recording
• Good communication skills
• Computer literate (Excel/Word/email)
• Team player, comfortable in a fast-paced environment

Desirable

• Rubber/polymer/chemical testing experience
• ISO 9001 knowledge
