Supervisor – HWRC site

Our client, a market leader in the Waste Management industry currently require an site supervisor to join their successful business on a temporary on-going basis with permanent opportunities available for the right candidates.

Successful Candidates:

• Will have previous experience within a supervisory / team leader role.
• Ideally come from Waste Management background and understand waste H&S laws
• WAMITAB L4 qualification in waste management desirable
• Understanding of risk assessments and safe working procedures
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Experience or working within a fast paste environment.
• A UK driving licence or transport needed as this will be covering multiple sites (car provided).

The role:

• Checking staff are operating to Risk Assessments and Safe working procedures.
• Ensuring near misses and incidents are reported in a prompt manner.
• Generating tickets for the Truck driver to dispose of waste streams.
• Making phone calls for collections from other waste streams
• Finalising tickets once load disposed of and tickets returned to office.
• Ensuring COVID-19 Measures are maintained.
• Site checks

The role is a supervisor position and the ideal candidate will have previous experience as supervisor or similar, experience within in the Waste Management industry would be beneficial. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your foot in the door of a Waste Management company with great career prospects within a vastly growing industry.

The role is based across multiple sites across Northamptonshire, and could be commutable from Northampton, Daventry, Wellingborough etc. Our client is situated close to public transportation links, parking facilities are available for staff, canteen facilities are available for all staff.

Hours of Work are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00

Rates of Pay £12.00 – 13.00 PAYE dependant on experience and is weekly pay

The role is covering multiple sites and a car will be provided for travel. Initially the role will be 1 – 2 months as sick cover however there is potential for this to last longer and has the opportunity to become a full time permanent position for the right candidate.
