Our client, a market leader in the Waste Management industry, are currently recruiting for experienced Mechanical or Electrical Fitters to join their successful business on a full-time on-going basis. This role will not be car or van driving, it would be using either a push/peddle bike, electronic bike or moped (you will need to provide your own)
Responsibilities:
- A cost-effective repair is carried out within the budget.
- To ensure that all documentation, work order and service sheets are completed and returned to the workshop office for approval, signature and filing.
- To ensure that all tooling and equipment used complies with current legislation and certification.
- Maintenance of a tidy bench and working area.
- All aspects of health and safety are adhered to.
- The QA policy is understood.
- First time repair of vehicles and equipment.
- Up to date competency for the repair of vehicles.
- None conformances of QA audits.
- To be a qualified fitter.
- Experience of repairing a wide variety of plant and equipment.
- Diagnostic ability to identify problems.
Technical Competencies:
- Manual handling.
- Environmental awareness toolbox talk.
- ISOH working safely.
- Personal track safety AC (PTS AC).
- Abrasive wheels.
