SENIOR PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to work for a Government facility company based in Ellesmere Port, near Liverpool, to provide administrative and technical support across a range of activities, including running a full end to end payroll process.

ROLE: Senior Payroll Administrator
LOCATION: Ellesmere Port - near Liverpool
PAY RATE: £29,000 per annum
JOB TYPE: Ongoing
HOURS: full time, Monday to Friday, office based.

THE ROLE:

  • Undertake complex checking, evaluation, calculations and information processing so that management and control of the payroll runs.
  • Direct, supervise, and support a team of staff undertaking specialised administrative and technical processes and procedures.
  • Advise on and apply policies, practices, procedures and statutory regulations as they relate to terms and conditions of employment.
  • Manage and control the pay runs, reconciliation and other processes that pay staff, pensioners, suppliers and clients.
  • Liaise, as appropriate, with other Departments (e.g. Finance, Billing and Debt) to ensure an effective interface on all collaborative processes (e.g. recruitment, contractual, debt recovery costing, legal and pay issues).


THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • Previous experience as a Senior Payroll Administrator is a must: running payrolls from end to end: submissions to HMRC, reconciliation, etc.
  • Good planning and administration skills.
  • Experience of supervising staff including allocating and monitoring workloads.
  • Knowledge of Software Unit 4 (formally known as Business World) is desirable.
