The organisation:
JK is partnering with a concrete sleeper manufacturer based in Bomen. They are a world leader in their industry and the largest concrete sleeper manufacturer in Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to not only obtain permanent employment, but work with a growing business where opportunities are varied.
The role:
This role will see you assisting with the production of the concrete sleepers. This will involve preparing moulds (cleaning, scraping, and applying lubricants) for concrete to be poured into. There will be some manual tasks such as bolting and unbolting the moulds to remove the concrete sleeper. You will also be responsible for some machine operation within the production process. Additionally, you will be involved in the quality assurance and control processes. This role has a staggered start and will transition to rotating shifts after the initial training period.
Requirements of this role:
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Basic computer, numeracy, and literacy skills
- Forklift license is desired but not required
- Be physically fit
