JOB PROFILE

JOB TITLE: Fryer Operator

Shift pattern:

Dayshift 6am till 2pm

Backshift 2pm till 10pm

Nightshift 10pm till 6am 

Pay rate : £11.55 per hour 

JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the smooth efficient frying process from the bulker hopper through to the to the inspection table ensuring crisps are produced as per our specification and good manufacturing processes are followed.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Frying Process

· Fryer operator works in conjunction with the grader operator to ensure sufficient supply of washed and graded potatoes.

· Ensure all quality checks are carried out which includes equipment, slice thickness, oil quality, temperatures, hygiene.

· Responsible for completing all relevant paperwork ensuring all data recorded is accurate.

· Must report any maintenance issues immediately to shift leader and engineering department.

· Responsible for emptying starch skips, waste peelings bins, solids trap and keeping drains free from any contaminates.

· Responsible for ensuring swift changeovers minimising any operational downtime.

· Must have a 15 min handover with the next shift ensuring the areas is left clean and tidy, highlight any areas of concern and complete end of shift checks and paperwork.

· Must be prepared to undergo further training when required to enable you to carry out your duties.

· Must assist in any other areas as and when required.

· Report any physical, chemical or microbiological contamination of finished product or raw materials. Or out of specification product.

Health & Safety / Hygiene

· Responsible for the safety of yourself and others working in your area, adhering to all COSHH and H&S regulations.

· Responsible for cleaning of equipment in your area adhering to company procedures ensuring safety at all times.

· Carry out weekly boil out and deep cleaning on a rotational basis with the other shift fryer operators.
