HR Operations Manager (Remote working)
London / England
Fixed Term Contract
£55,000 to £60,000
Reference: PT7279

Are you an experienced HR Manager or HR Operations/Services Manager looking for a new challenge? One where you can lead a small team to deliver key HR processes in a really tight and effective manner, whilst also playing a key role in re-engineering those processes going forward as new systems are brought in. Well, our client is a city-based SME of around 120 employees, who are really embracing the opportunities to drive a more remote based approach to working both now and for the longer term.

Reporting into the Head of HR you will oversight most key HR processes such as employee lifecycle, inductions, contracts, key HR cycles and payroll updates working with the external vendor. You will manage a small team of HR Administrators coaching and developing them to ensure the function delivers in a professional and responsive manner, whilst also prioritising, managing workflows, checking quality and accuracy. A new HR system is on the way, so there is a desire for HR processes to be overhauled to support this and also to ensure they best facilitate an “adult to adult” relationship between HR and the rest of the business as they shift towards a more self-service approach with the new system.

You are likely to be a well-rounded HR professional, with a deep knowledge and experience of managing the transactional side of HR, ideally within a small to medium sized business environment. Someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck into problems and is calm when things go wrong and has a strong solutions orientation. You will need to possess a decent knowledge of payroll as you will be the key liaison point between HR and the payroll provider.

The role is initially to be appointed on a 12 month fixed term contract basis and they are open to either full time or 4 days a week. Whilst the offices are City of London based, they have embraced remote working, so there is flexibility as to where the individual lives. This is a long term move around remote working, however it may be useful is the incumbent can potentially spend 1-2 days per week in the office to help with team dynamic etc as we move beyond covid-19 protocols.
