Salary: GBP70000 - GBP85000 per annum + + Competitive Package

Randstad is recruiting a Project Manager on behalf of a leading tier-one infrastructure contractor to deliver a major multi-year water framework. In this role, you will take full operational and commercial ownership of complex water infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets across the region, leading schemes from initial design through to final commissioning and handover.

The Role

Reporting to the Programme Director, you will direct multi-disciplinary delivery teams to ensure projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • End-to-End Delivery: Managing the full lifecycle of water projects, overseeing design, construction, commercial management, and handover phases.

  • Commercial & Financial Control: Controlling project budgets, preparing accurate forecasts, and driving value engineering to maximize efficiency.

  • Risk & Contract Management: Implementing robust risk mitigation strategies, approving site documentation (PMPs, RAMS), and managing NEC contract mechanisms.

  • Leadership & Supply Chain: Leading internal site engineering teams and specialist sub-contractors to drive high quality and productivity on site.

  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Acting as the primary point of contact for key client representatives and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project delivery.

Essential Requirements

  • Water & Utilities Experience: Proven track record as a Project Manager delivering complex civil infrastructure schemes (experience within the water, wastewater, or regulated utilities sectors is essential).

  • Commercial Acumen: Strong financial capability, including direct management of project budgets, cost-to-complete forecasting, and supply chain management.

  • Contractual Knowledge: In-depth working knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts within a collaborative framework delivery model.

  • HSEQ Leadership: Comprehensive understanding of construction safety, environmental regulations, and CDM compliance.

  • Location & Mobility: Centrally located in the Southwest/West of England (commutable across Bristol, Somerset, or Wiltshire) with a full UK driving licence.
