Maintenance Team Leader – Weekend Shift

Location: Redditch

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 (including weekend shift allowance)

Shift Pattern: Saturday to Monday, 6am – 6pm

A leading tier-one automotive manufacturer is seeking a Weekend Maintenance Team Leader to support its growing maintenance function. This is a key role as the business continues to invest in new machinery and scale up its engineering team to meet rising production demands.

Role Overview:

As the Maintenance Team Leader, you’ll lead a dedicated team of multi-skilled engineers during the weekend shift, ensuring the smooth operation of mechanical and electrical systems across the site. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with strong technical expertise and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate a team of maintenance engineers across mechanical and electrical disciplines.
• Manage and deliver planned maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and enhance equipment performance.
• Provide expert fault-finding and technical support.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Uphold health and safety standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in a mechanical/electrical maintenance leadership role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of PLC systems (Siemens experience is a plus).
• Confident in leading and motivating teams on a weekend shift.
• Proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to team development.

Shift Details:

• Weekend Shift: Saturday to Monday, 6am – 6pm
• Enjoy four consecutive days off during the week
