Major Recruitment is working on behalf of a multi-award winning family run independent practice based on the eastern outskirts of Watford. The practice has always placed an emphasis on personal eyecare and providing bespoke eyewear.

They are looking for a full or part time Dispensing Optician to join their well-established, award winning and clinically minded team. They can offer flexibility on Saturday requirement and are closed on Sundays & Bank holidays.

Over 3 decades the team have invested in the most sophisticated and technologically advanced equipment for early diagnosis of Retinal and general health abnormalities. The team is actively involved in treating myopia (short-sightedness) with Ortho K lenses, treating visual stress with colorimetry lenses and dry eyes with intense light pulse therapy.

• 2 spacious test rooms within a relaxed, high-end, spacious and beautifully presented working environment

• The company like you to spend as much time with your clientele as required offering a truly patient focused and knowledgeable service

• Offering the latest diagnostic equipment and the latest technological advances in contact lenses, equipment includes an OCT, Optomap, Diopsys ERG, SBM Idra & E-Eye IPL (Dry eye treatment), Optikon Keratron Scout (Topographer for specialist contact lenses Inc. Ortho-k) alongside a very efficient computerised management system

• The practice runs unique specialist services Inc.; Myopia correction, Dry eyes treatment, visual stress with colorimetry, diabetic screening, ERG (Electroretinography), glaucoma & cataract monitoring and specialist contact lens clinics

• Your day to day work will be extremely varied allowing you to become more involved within the business, extra duties Inc. invoicing, book keeping, marketing and business development

• Closed Sundays & Bank Holidays

• No late nights as the practice closes at 5:30pm

• Regular internal and external training arranged

Details and requirements

• Hours: Monday – Saturday (09:00am - 17:30pm)

• Closed Sundays & Bank Holidays

• Full or part time position considered

• Eligibility to work in the UK and GOC Registered

Salary and benefits

• Basic salary of up to £36,000

• Pension + professional fee paid

• 20 days holiday + 8 BH (28 in total)
