Security Operations Manager

3 Month Contract

Day Rate Negotiable

 Job Purpose

The Security Operations Manager is a people management role responsible for overseeing the overall Security Operations.  In particular IT, Information and Data security including business continuity.

The Role

The role will have responsibility for managing a team of Security Engineers and facilitating the delivery of security services to the European organisation.   The Security Operations Manager will work closely with IT stakeholders and the business to ensure we are aligned with their needs while also fulfilling any risk, control, regulatory audit and governance requirements. A focus will be required on continuous improvement and to seek opportunities to exceed expectations. Specifically, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for the management, deployment and administration of security technologies and services
• Works closely with the corporate audit departments to ensure I.S. processes, policies, procedures and practices follow established governance standards, monitoring and reporting on their effectiveness
• Responsible for providing full lifecycle management of a number of security tools
• A key influencer in dealing with key stakeholders, managing expectations and dealing with the unknown
• Champion and Sponsor projects in the Security Management area
• Provides day to day coaching and direction setting to team members
• Provide expertise on industry best practice with regards to the latest IS Security trends and emerging threats
• Any other duties as assigned by your manager
