Maintenance Operative | Sheffield | Full-Time | Permanent

HRGO Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established local business for a Maintenance Operative to join their team on a permanent basis based in Sheffield, S25

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in maintenance, facilities, property maintenance or building repairs. You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the site, carrying out repairs, maintenance and security checks to ensure the premises remain safe, secure and operational.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs
• General building maintenance, painting and decorating
• Basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry work
• Maintain fencing, gates, drainage and external areas
• Conduct routine site, CCTV and security checks
• Complete maintenance records and inspection reports
• Support contractors and site inductions
• Assist with compliance, health & safety and operational duties

Requirements

• Previous maintenance, facilities or property maintenance experience
• Good general repair, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry knowledge
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends

Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent are advantageous but not essential.
