Engineering Lead – Package Delivery (16/06/2025) Doha, Qatar

We are looking for an Engineering Lead – Package Delivery for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Qatar, Onshore

Estimated Start Date: ASAP

Estimated End Date: 30 June 2027

Contract Duration: 36 Months

Qualification and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

Knowledge and/or Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry with at least five years demonstrated as ICSS Lead on EPCI Projects in an Oil & gas industry project having broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, site integration testing and commissioning. Additionally, demonstrated leadership skills, management of contractor and ICSS vendor and exposed to challenging project delivery schedule.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Integrated Control and Safety Systems both Software and Hardware
  • Subject Mater Expert in Schneider l Foxboro ICSS or equivalent
  • Full understanding of ICSS development lifecycle form Design, to Fabrication to Commissioning and Start-Up
  • Very strong experience in Executing and Managing FAT and SAT
  • Greenfield and Brownfield experience
  • Strong knowledge of serial Interfaces with third party systems.

Technical and Business Skills:

  • A high-level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
  • Excellent Organization, Planning, Execution & Tracking Skills
  • Excellent communication / written skills and ability to work and interact with different engineering disciplines and people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
  • High awareness of working practices associated with risk assessments, multi-discipline coordination and design reviews.

Job Purpose

  • The ICSS Package Delivery Lead position will act as a single point of accountability into the design, fabrication, FAT, SAT and Commissioning of the Integrated Control and Safety System. The ICSS will manage the EPCI contractor in all project phases.
  • As part of the Project Management Team, the ICSS Lead job is to ensure technical requirements (e.g. project specifications, data sheets, etc.) fully comply with project deliverables and standardized processes and are delivered to the highest standards.
  • Steward ICSS engineering activities to ensure quality and timely delivery of the scope.
  • Drives the EPC contractor by providing clear guidance and facilitating resolution to issues to complete ICSS engineering activities that include integration into third party packages.

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Deliver robust, tested and well documents Integrated Control and Safety System from the vendor shop to the Yard with No Carry Over Work and Minimum Punch List Items.
  • Review the development and develop different acceptance and commissioning testing procedures.
  • Ensure ICSS engineering activities are conducted in accordance with project specifications and approved variations if any. Accountable for a quality design of ICSS engineering deliverables, including design safety aspects and execution planning of ICSS field activities.
  • Drive work execution, ensuring technical alignment and quality with various disciplines stakeholders from both PMT and EPC Contractor. Provides guidance to EPC contractor to complete I&C design per project specifications in a timely manner and provides clear direction when project instructions or specifications are not clear.
  • Manage the Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) purchase orders for systems with the EPC Contractor and System Vendor in accordance with the roles and responsibilities given in the contract to ensure safe and seamless integration of the systems without any disturbance to the existing operating facilities.
  • Drive Contractor to develop plans and work schedules that ensure effective completion of project activities and provide data (narrative, charts, graphs), change management recommendations and recovery plans to address any schedule delays for monthly progress and stewardship reporting.
  • Support multi-discipline activities providing ICCS expertise to other disciplines as necessary, in support of completing activities within schedule and making appropriate recommendations to management on I&C issues.
  • Key effort to support interfacing between key vendors and EPC contractor to ensure quality and execution objectives are met.
  • Provide input into the L3 and L4 Schedules and report on ICSS Vendors Progress. Involve other PMT leadership team members to address any potential risks and/pr delays and support the implementation of mitigation plans.
