FEED Phase
-
Develop Instrumentation design philosophy, Basis of Design (BoD), and FEED deliverables.

Participate in the preparation of I/O lists, instrument index, instrument datasheets, and specifications.

Evaluate vendor technical offers for instruments and control systems.

Contribute to P&ID reviews, HAZOP, and SIL assessments.

Estimate quantities and costs for instrumentation systems.
Detailed Engineering Phase

Prepare and review detailed engineering deliverables: instrument datasheets, hookup drawings, cable schedules, loop diagrams, and instrument layouts.

Perform sizing and selection of field instruments (flow, pressure, temperature, level).

Design of control systems (DCS, ESD, F&G, PLCs) and interface requirements.

Cable routing, grounding, and installation details in coordination with Electrical & Civil teams.

Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations (TBE) and vendor document reviews.

Ensure compliance with IEC, ISA, API, ATEX, and other international standards.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Process, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, etc.).

Support construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical Engineering.

5–15 years of experience in Instrumentation design in oil & gas (EPC or consultancy background).

Hands-on experience with SPI (INtools), AutoCAD, and 3D model reviews (Navisworks, SmartPlant).

Familiarity with control systems (Yokogawa, Emerson, Honeywell, Siemens, ABB, etc.)
