About the Role
Reporting into a highly experienced and supportive Payroll Manager, this role will see you take ownership of end-to-end New Zealand payroll processing. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll services while contributing to wider team objectives.
Duties
• Process end-to-end payroll for Australia & New Zealand employees
• Calculate and manage various types of leave, including long service, maternity, and parental leave
• Handle high-volume payroll processing efficiently
• Maintain strong understanding of payroll systems
• Interpret and apply complex EBAs and awards
• Manage terminations and redundancies
• Deliver exceptional internal customer service and support
• Respond to payroll queries and maintain the payroll inbox
Skills and Experience
• Background in large, complex payroll environments
• Ability to manage full function payroll
• Experience with large payroll systems is a bonus, but not essential
• Strong knowledge of EBAs and awards
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Team player with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
