About the Role:

As the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the payroll team with end-to-end payroll processing and ensuring payroll compliance and accuracy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing end-to-end payroll in line with relevant legislation and company policies
  • Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including new starters, terminations, and payroll adjustments
  • Ensuring timely and accurate processing of wages, salaries, superannuation, and other entitlements
  • Interpreting and applying relevant awards, enterprise agreements, and workplace legislation
  • Managing payroll queries and providing support to employees and stakeholders

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in an end-to-end payroll position
  • Exposure to large payroll systems (experience with systems such as Chris21, iChris, Workday, SAP, or similar is highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, compliance, and payroll processes
  • Experience with award interpretation and enterprise agreements
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
