About the Role

This role is well suited to an experienced Payroll Manager who is confident leading teams, highly detail-oriented, and brings a strong analytical and continuous improvement mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the payroll team
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate delivery
  • Conduct regular audits and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Ensure payroll governance, compliance, and controls are maintained
  • Manage and support payroll-related projects as required
  • Maintain high standards across payroll policies and procedures
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across the business nationally

Skills & Experience

  • Proven leadership experience managing a medium-sized payroll team
  • Experience working in multi-site complex payroll environments
  • Interpreting complex EBAs and Awards
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll projects or system implementations (highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset
