• Role: Drainage Groundworker

• Location: Worthing
• Contract type: Temporary (Full time)
• Start date: ASAP
• Pay rate: £22-23 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of foul water, surface water, and storm drainage systems.
• Laying pipes, manholes, gullies, and associated drainage infrastructure.
• Excavation and preparation of trenches to specification.
• Reading and interpreting site drawings and drainage plans.
• Backfilling, compacting, and reinstating excavated areas.
• Operating hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Assisting plant operators and other site personnel as required.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with site specifications and health and safety regulations.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Drainage Groundworker.
• Ability to lay drainage to line and level.
• Good understanding of drainage systems and construction methods.
• Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
• Positive attitude and willingness to get on with tasks as instructed.
• CSCS Card
• CPCS/NPORS plant tickets 
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Working Hours

• Typically 10–12 hours per day.
• Weekend work available when required.
• Overtime and weekend rates may apply.
