We’re currently recruiting skilled Port Operatives to join our team in Middlesbrough. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available for candidates with the right experience and certifications.

Basic (up to 8 hours/day): £14.38 per hour

Overtime (after 8 hours/day & Saturdays): £21.57 per hour

Sundays & Bank Holidays: £28.76 per hour

What is the job role of a Port Operative?

Stafforce port operatives support the UK's supply chain from discharge to distribution.

No two days are the same in shipping and a port operative may cover many different roles which include:

• Stevedore / Quayside duties
• Plant driving including Forklift Trucks, Payloaders, Shovels
• Weighbridge or Gatehouse
• Traffic Marshall and Vehicle banksman

Essential:

• Valid FLT license
• Valid Shovel / Payloader licence
• Team player committed to ensuring the completion of works in a safe and timely manner
• Flexible approach to work
• Comfortable working outside in all weathers
• CSCS Card or CCNSG
