The basics:

Role: Mechanical Design Manager – Automation/Automated machinery

Location: Castle Donington 

Pay: £55,000 to £65,000 DOE

Hours: Flex - Monday to Thursday 8hrs start time between 7am and 8:30am and Fridays 6hrs start time between 7am and 8:30am (38hr week)

Holidays and Benefits: 33 days, pension 4% by employer, death in service x2 salary

Team size/structure: Managing a team of 5 design engineers and working closely with the Engineering Director

Environment: Bespoke machinery design – mechanical and electrical automation

Overview:

We now require an additional Mechanical Design Manager to join the team. Working in modern purpose-built manufacturing facilities for a company that manufacture bespoke automated machinery.

You will be working in a first-class engineering environment that have processes such as machining, fabrication and a number of outsourced processes also.

As the Mechanical Design Manager you will be working in a technical role managing projects for the customer from start to finish.

The ideal candidate Mechanical Design Manager may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Previous experience working with Solidworks
• Educated to degree level in design, engineering or similar
• Previously managed a team of Design Engineers OR with a wealth of experience working within a bespoke machinery manufacturing business.
