Role: Manufacturing Engineer – machining and fabrication

Location: Redditch

Starting salary: £48,893

Hours: Mon-Thurs (7.30am to 4.30pm), Fridays (7.30am to 12.30pm) - 39 hours per week

Holidays and Benefits: 5.6 weeks of annual leave per year inc. bank holidays, increasing to 6.6 weeks inc. bank holidays following 1 year of continuous service. Death in Service Benefit 2x annual salary,

Overview:

We now require an additional Manufacturing Engineer to join the team due to expansion. The company have sites across the UK and manufacture components for some well-known names within industry. This role will require an understanding of how components are made out of metal – techniques, such as machining, fabrication and metal manipulation. You will create manufacturing route cards (SOP’s and methods to manufacture) to ensure the best methods to manufacture whilst continually looking at improvements.

The ideal candidate/ Manufacturing Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Previous experience writing SOP’s, methods of manufacture
• Knowledge of machining and fabrication of metal components
• Excellent inter-personal and presentation skills
• Ability to read manufacturing drawings and specifications and break out the details and processes required for each operation required for manufacture.
• Previous experience working in a role where streamlining and improving processes is key aspect of the your role.
