Job Title: Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Industry: Manufacturing

Location: Brierley Hill

Pay: £37241 + Overtime = earnings of £45000 and upwards achievable

Hours: Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm

Overtime rates: 1.5x Monday-Saturday and 2x Sunday

Holidays and benefits: 28 days plus 8 bank holidays, company pension, life insurance.

Overview:

Working for a large manufacturing business that have sites across the UK we now require a site-based Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the team. 

Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role:

• To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
• Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
• PPM’s

The ideal candidate / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Time served apprentice trained or above
• Previous experience working in a maintenance focused role within a manufacturing/production environment or similar
• Mechanically competent working – welding, fabrication.
• An electrical understanding changing like for like parts and basic fault finding would be beneficial.
