Personality, passion and previous experience producing technical drawings in 2D/3D,  will secure this outstanding opportunity with this long established market leader providing an exceptional industrial product range as well as service to their valued clients.

This role has a strong emphasis on Design Control and Planning. You will be responsible for overseeing the Design Department acting as the key asset and point of contact for advice, improvements, developing documentation standards, whislt being skilled in creating innovative drawings through the use of CAD/relevant software ensuring the successful completion of projects, and the ongoing growth of the business.

Scope of the Role:

  • Reviewing rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other design and engineering data received from client engineers and architects to understand design requirements.
  • Working closely with Project Managers to understand and meet customer requirements including schedule. Assist with resource planning and backlog prioritisation.
  • Designing prefabricated building modules in 2D and 3D CAD- creating 3D walkthroughs
  • Ensuring conformance to customer specifications, company standards, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing high quality assembly and component drawings to be used by clients, suppliers, and production, ensuring completed drawings meet internal customer requirements.
  • Working with production staff to understand buildability challenges in order to create and implement solutions.
  • Working collaboratively with the engineering team to continuously improve the internal design process to increase efficiency and quality.
  • To be responsible for new equipment design and manufacture
  • Liaise with suppliers and external industry experts
  • Develop and implement procedures around

Skills and Experience
required:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in 2D and 3D CAD – along with relevant software experience. (Revit experience beneficial)
  • Relevant experience in engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Project management experience
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skill
  • Hands on but a strategic thinke
  • Proven leadership experience
  • All round legend who's keen to grow, learn and be valued in the process
