Pay: £13.23 per hour (days) | £15.75 per hour between 10pm to 6am(nights)

Contract: Temporary, with potential long-term opportunities

About the role

Job&Talent is recruiting reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to support Home Bargains (TJ Morris) at its modern Omega Distribution Centre in Warrington.

Home Bargains is one of the UK's leading discount retailers, and its distribution operation plays a vital role in ensuring products reach stores across the country.

You will join a busy, fast-paced warehouse team, supporting the movement, picking, preparation and dispatch of stock. The operation uses a combination of automated systems and manual warehouse processes, so attention to detail, teamwork and a strong approach to health and safety are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Order picking: Accurately pick products using a voice-directed headset system, following instructions to prepare store orders.
• Warehouse equipment: Operate authorised warehouse trucks and material handling equipment following appropriate training.
• Loading and unloading: Assist with the safe manual movement of goods, including loading and unloading deliveries.
• Stock replenishment: Move and replenish products within designated warehouse areas.
• Order preparation: Ensure products are picked, handled and prepared accurately for onward distribution.
• Productivity and accuracy: Work towards agreed operational performance standards while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Manual handling: Carry out physical warehouse activities, including regular lifting, moving and handling of stock in accordance with safe working procedures.
• Housekeeping: Maintain clean, tidy and organised working areas.
• Health and safety: Follow all site safety procedures and report damaged goods, equipment faults or potential hazards.
• Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues, supervisors and warehouse management to support daily operational requirements.

What we're looking for

• Previous warehouse or distribution experience is essential.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable following instructions through a voice-directed picking system.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to work towards productivity and performance targets.
• Ability to follow health and safety instructions.
• Flexibility to support different warehouse activities as required.

Full training will be provided for relevant warehouse systems and equipment.

Working hours and shift patterns

3 days on, 3 days off rotation:

• Days: 07:00–19:00
• Nights: 19:00–07:00

Shift availability and allocation will be confirmed during recruitment.

Pay rates

• Day shift: £13.23 per hour
• Night shift: £15.75 per hour between 10pm to 6am

Overtime arrangements will be confirmed before placement.
