Class 1 Driver – NEW INCREASED PEAK RATES up to £29.40 per hour

Are you an experienced Class 1 Driver looking for regular work with excellent earning potential? Job&Talent is recruiting Class 1 Drivers on behalf of one of the UK's leading logistics companies in Cumbernauld.

With a peak uplift of £8 per hour, drivers can earn up to £29.40 per hour from 11 December to 3 January.

The site operates 24/7, with flexible start times and a range of shift patterns available, making this a great opportunity to secure ongoing work and maximise your earnings during peak.

NEW INCREASED PEAK RATES

• £24.19 – £29.40 per hour with £8 peak uplift 
• Peak uplift paid Friday 11 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027 (excluding 25 December)

Standard rates

• £16.19 – £21.40 per hour depending on shift
• Increased peak rates paid from 11 December to 3 January
• 24/7 operation, 7 days a week
• Flexible start times and shift patterns available
• Ongoing work available

The Role

• Trunking, and RDC deliveries across the UK road network
•  Operating refrigerated units
• Pre- and post-vehicle safety checks
•   Completing PODs, delivery paperwork, and handheld scanning
•  No interaction with the load

Essential Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence (Category C+E)
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Current Driver CPC qualification
• Minimum 12 months' Class 1 experience
• No more than 6 penalty points (DR, DD, IN, and TT endorsements not accepted)

Desirable Skills

• Experience with RDC, trunking, and store deliveries
•  Strong knowledge of UK roads and distribution centres
•  Reliable, punctual, and customer focused
•   Comfortable with manual handling and handheld scanners
