Production Operative Grade 1 - Gosport

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Production Operative Grade 1 to work with a leading paper product manufacturing company in Gosport. This role focuses on maintaining the efficiency of manufacturing equipment and supporting the production team.

Shift Patterns:
• Set shift patterns of 3x Day shift, 2x off, 2x night shift, 3x off.
• Pattern may vary based on operational demand.

Pay Rates:
• 12.71 GBP hourly

Essential Requirements for Production Operative Grade 1:
• Able to work shift work days and nights.

Skills and Qualifications for Production Operative Grade 1:
• Previous Manufacturing or Production experience.
• BTEC National Certificate Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant NVQ.
• Worked with special purpose machinery.
• PC Literate.
• Experience of mechanical equipment fault finding and rectification.
• Working independently.
• Target driven.
• Organised.
• Proactive.
• Flexible in terms of tasks undertaken.
• Good communication skills.
• Capable of building and maintaining good working relationships, being a team member.

Role Responsibilities for Production Operative Grade 1:
• Ensure maximum effectiveness of all paper product manufacturing equipment.
• Fault find and rectify minor technical issues within capability.
• Notify engineering when issues are outside of remit.
• Make recommendations to improve efficiency.
• Work collaboratively in a team to maximise production output.
