WAREHOUSE SHIPPING AND RECEIVING MANAGER

 

Our client is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Manager to lead and coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring on-time deliveries, accurate inventory handling, and compliance with domestic and international shipping requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

WAREHOUSE SHIPPING AND RECEIVING MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations to meet production and customer deadlines
  • Manage, train, and schedule warehouse staff; conduct performance evaluations
  • Ensure all outgoing shipments meet specifications and are properly documented
  • Supervise receipt of goods, verifying quantity, quality, and condition of materials
  • Coordinate international shipments, including air and sea freight, customs paperwork, and tariff tracking
  • Maintain accurate records such as BOLs, packing slips, PODs, and invoices
  • Enter shipment details into customer portals and internal systems
  • Track and manage freight costs; negotiate rates with carriers and identify savings
  • Enforce warehouse safety standards and ensure forklift certifications are up to date
  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

 

WAREHOUSE SHIPPING AND RECEIVING MANAGER REQUIREMENTS

  • 3–5 years of shipping/receiving experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Background in manufacturing or similar warehouse environments
  • Strong understanding of domestic and international logistics, customs, and documentation
  • Experience with ERP and WMS platforms (e.g., Cin.7, Monday.com) and shipping software (FedEx, UPS)
  • Forklift certification preferred; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

 

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse and production floor setting with exposure to noise, temperature variation, and physical activity
  • PPE provided and required (e.g., safety shoes, eyewear, hearing protection)
