Reinsurance Pricing Data Analyst (15776) City of London, England

The purpose of the role is to work with the data architect, data team, actuarial & pricing teams and external vendor(s) to ensure data requirements are clearly defined and documented to enable an E2E pricing capability to be delivered.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively schedule and drive workshops to elicit data requirements from varied stakeholders across the reinsurance business.
- Capture and document detailed data requirements, aligned to the solution design and MVP business requirements/ user stories.
- Conduct analysis at data attribute level, identifying sources and ensuring mapping to data warehouse and consumer systems is documented and signed off.
- Supporting the data architect with data modelling and schema design
- Ensuring transparency is provided to the Project Manager and deliverables completed within agreed timeframes.
The successful candidate must have:
- Strong pricing and actuarial data experience, ideally from reinsurance
- Strong experience within in insurance/ reinsurance sector
- Experience with similar reinsurance pricing projects would prove advantageous
- Strong SQL proficiency, particularly Microsoft SQL Server, including query writing and understanding of how database systems work
- Good Microsoft Excel skills ideally including VBA
- Excellent data analysis skills including a solid understanding of data quality and governance
