Contract hire – Resident

Work Schedule            

5 days per week (Monday to Friday), 44 hours per week including Overtime (Excluding break).

Shift work/ On call (stand by) duty will be required with prior approval from time to time due to project requirements. This will be compensated as per Finnish regulations

Accommodation          

Studio or 1 bedroom and living fully furnished and equipped in either Pori or in Rauma (Single Accommodation)

PSM Mechanical Planning Engineer – Auxiliary systems

General and technical background expected:

Plant Status Management PSM Engineer for Planning and Coordination of all mechanical

activities in the Plant related to Nuclear Auxiliary Systems scope

Mechanical, Process or Nuclear Engineer

Required:

  • Expertise in OPERATION or Commissioning of Nuclear Auxiliary Systems
  • Overall knowledge and competencies on Operation of PWR mechanical and I&C systems
  • Overall knowledge and competencies in Nuclear Safety (use of Technical Specifications …)
  • Experience in planning of physical activities on large industrial projects

Required consent as foreseen:

  • To work in controlled area (radiation protection): NO
  • To work in shift/rotation: YES

Skills required:

  • Team player
  • Chairing of meetings

Technical:

  • Nuclear Auxiliary systems OPERATION experience (Certified Operator in Main Control Room – MCR-, PWR
  • certified Instructor, Certified shift supervisor leading certified Operators in MCR)
  • Nuclear Safety Experience
  • Work planning management - required

 

She/he reports to the PSM Planning Manager for Planning and Coordination of all mechanical activities in the Plant, especially auxiliary systems.

Tasks:

  • Gathering of all tasks from Commissioning, Engineering, Procurement, Maintenance,
  • Operation
  • Assess the impact of the activity on the other branches (I&C, NSSS, Electrical systems, HVAC, Waste Systems …)
  • Liaise with time scheduling team to verify that the activities from all entities fit together in the time schedule ensuring the full respect of the technical specifications and the Operation requirements
  • Propose/define changes in the planning sequences in order to

o fulfil the technical specifications

o optimize the sequence for the project progress

  • Harmonize the Nuclear Auxiliary Systems activities with the electrical and the I&C activities + other branches (HVAC, NSSS, Waste …)
  • Responsible for validating that the pre-scheduled work windows and work combinations do not lead to unnecessarily long system unavailability
  • Anticipatory way of working to detect and remove obstacles in time
  • Deliver the final Nuclear Auxiliary systems level 2 and level 3 schedules for the project in collaboration with the time schedulers – Schedule owner for Nuclear
  • Auxiliary systems level 2 and level 3 time schedules
  • Full overview and technical control anytime of the activities on Nuclear Auxiliary systems
  • Lead the relevant PSM meetings with the representatives from all disciplines (maintenance, Operation …)
  • Regular reporting about the schedule and plant progress
