 Role:

For our client a Pharma company based in Basel we are looking for a Flow Cytometry Specialist CoE (m/f/d).

 

Background:
We are a team of flow cytometry experts working in close collaboration with scientists across all

of pRED Disease Translational Areas (DTA) to provide cutting-edge flow cytometry solutions.

We are looking for a motivated colleague to join our team to support our flow cytometry activities.

The perfect candidate:

You are passionate about harnessing your flow cytometry experience to contribute to creating a

new type of team in pRED: a team that works across organizational boundaries to advance drug

discovery and development projects using groundbreaking technology.

 

Areas of responsibility:

- Assist the team with all aspects of operations and maintenance, including daily QC, monitoring

of instrument performance and troubleshooting

- Perform high quality cell sorting and analysis for and together with collaborators across pRED

- Collaborate with customers from across pRED and manage instrument utilization

- Support colleagues with a wide range of backgrounds by assisting with trainings

- Contribute to panel and assay development

 

Professional and technical requirements:
- Completed a vocational/academic scientific qualification (e.g. apprenticeship/degree in Biology/

Biochemistry/ Analytics/ Physics; PhDs / Post Doc in relevant fields)

- Min. 2 years practical experience with flow cytometry analyzers

- English fluency written and oral is a must, German is an advantage

- Good skills in Microsoft Office and G Suite is a must; experience in flow cytometry analysis

software (e.g. FlowJo) is a plus

- Enjoy working collaboratively and training and supporting others

- Motivated to organize own work, take initiative and actively identify solutions and opportunities

 

Nice to Haves:

- Ideally have experience with cell sorting using BD FACSAria sorters

- Experience working in a flow cytometry facility

- Work experience from a Biology lab environment

- Good understanding of cell biology
