Solution System Engineer (m/f/d) – SQL / Windows / O365 / Datacenter / English / German
Role:
For our Life Science client based in Zug we are looking for a Solution System Engineer (m/f/d).
Background:
In the role of a Solution System Engineer you will manage and operate the Datacenter & Software as a Service Application Workloads in the headquarter (Zug) and in 4 international locations (US, Germany, Slovenia, …), in cooperation with our global and local teams.
Areas of responsibility:
- Ensure and maintain reliable & secure datacenter application services
- Project manager for application solution transformation, consolidation and modernization
- Requirement management, solution concepts, planning, implementation and documentation
- Leading the solution workloads change and asset management process proactively
- Ensure data and access protection of solution workloads
- Cooperate with the datacenter and security engineer to ensure server and network protection
- Close cooperation with system engineers, global supporters, application and business managers, partners and suppliers
Education:
- Degree in computer science (University, FH, HF, …) or equivalent experience
- Microsoft certified (MCSE/MCSA) is an advantage
- SQL Server and data management
Skills/Competencies:
- Excellent system engineering, analytical and project leadership skills
- Good communication skills at all levels, speak business and ICT language
- Good ICT process and service skills in local and global context, including using ticketing workflows and systems
- Individual will need to be self-motivated, highly reliable, quality driven and be able to prioritize work volume
- Excellent knowledge regarding ICT technologies (server, domains, scripting, applications, interfaces, basic network/security, ...)
- Business Fluent in German, good communication skills in English (minimum B1 Level)
- Willing to travel up to 10% (DE, US, SI)
Experience:
- More than 5 years in ICT Datacenter and Solutions System Engineering
- More than 5 years with Microsoft Technologies (Windows Server, SQL Server, BI, Domains, O365, SaaS, Networking)
- More than 5 years with business and infrastructure applications on servers and clients
- Datacenter and Application Operation (Roles & Permission Management, Data Protection, Interfaces, Monitoring)
