This is an exciting opportunity for an NMC registered nurse to work in Gibraltar as ab Operating Department Practitioner. You must have good organisational and interpersonal skills as well as theatre skills and experience in a number of surgical specialities, such as Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Max Fax, Vascular, Gynae, Urology and ENT.
Duties and Responsibilities.
- Preparing the operating theatre and equipment
- Making sure specialist equipment is available for specific procedures
- Up keeping of the theatre cleanliness
- Monitoring and ordering of stock and drugs
- Providing items the surgery team need during an operation
- Monitoring instruments
- Keeping accurate records
