Assistant Production Manager

Assistant Production Manager (ASP23) Telford, England

Salary: GBP35000 - GBP36000 per annum

 

To further expand our activities, we are currently searching for a new dynamic ‘Assistant Production Manager’ to provide day-to-day support to our production manager and the production line team-leaders. As the company is moving into a new era of production facilitation and expansion, we need a hands-on proactive individual to cover a vast spread of tasks, duties, and responsibilities, be flexible and adaptable to suit the required development.

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting the Production Manager with daily duties and tasks to ensure the smooth running of our operation.
  • Daily planning with shopfloor team-leaders to maintain and improve our performance output.
  • Accountability for routine line maintenance checks in coordination with team-leaders
  • Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety are achieved in our processes.
  • Organise and coordinate with the supply-chain, internal sales and stores to maximise the fluid flow of materials from start to finish.
  • Provide a conduit for sales and Team Leaders for urgent customer orders, lates, replacements or warranty support.
  • Liaise with Team Leaders regarding line side issues and identify and provide a solution.
  • Oversee and support daily paperwork (new visual boards)
  • Review non-conformances and support audit actions by liaising with business systems.
  • Carry out general maintenance checks in accordance with our procedure and organise any required sub-contract maintenance.
  • Oversee site services and contractor management.
  • Administration of contractors for breakdowns (Burner issue on Caccia) and any other on-site operational issues.
  • Supporting goods in with PI and goods out with achieving daily goals and timelines
  • Developing new ways to provide waste reduction within our factory processes.
  • Not right first-time meetings and improvement actions as required.
  • Any other reasonable requests to support the smooth running of the company.
  • You will be reporting directly to our Production Manager.

  • Production process experience essential.
  • Understanding of the day-to-day operational requirements of a shopfloor
  • Highly accountable and responsible for safeguarding the factory operation.
