IT Change Manager. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an I.T Change Manager looking to further their career. My client is very well established and due to expansion and new projects they now seek an I.T Change Manager to compliment their existing I.T team.

As the IT Change Manager you will own, operate and maintain the IT Change Management process to ensure all IT changes are raised, validated, approved and implemented in line with a basic principle of maintaining service availability and reducing down time as a result of change activities. This will be achieved by administering a Change management database, and reporting on the forward schedule of changes. 

Main Activities and Responsibilities:  Ownership and management of the end to end change management process by applying a risk based approach• Continual development of the change management process in line with best practice to ensure that it is fit for purpose• Alignment with the Business Change and release teams to ensure that key projects and major releases are introduced into the live environment with the appropriate level of change control and risk mitigation.

You will work with the IT Service Delivery Manager to support the wider Service and Operations strategy and you will act as a point of escalation for any service matters relating to Change Management• Identify and incorporate any key business stakeholders into the established Change Management process• Creation and publication of Change Management metrics and reporting information• To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required by the Head of Service Delivery.

Essential Experience Required For the Role: • Previous and recent experience in IT Change Management• Ideally you will be ITIL Service Manager qualified or equivalent • Previous experience at manager or equivalent level in another IT Service Management or IT Support role• Experience of managing and negotiating with large suppliers• Experience of creating and developing appropriate training material to assist with the implementing of IT Change Management to a range of audiences• In depth knowledge of IT technologies and infrastructures• Demonstrable understanding of Continual Service Improvement• Experience of building and maintaining good working relationships with members of other IT support and development teams• In-depth working knowledge of Workflow applications with an understanding of the Workflows and experience of manipulating data and customising Management Reports, creating Audit trails and Compliance evidence•
