About the role

Brunel University London Pathway College (the College) is an Affiliate College of Brunel University London (BUL). The College is owned and operated by Navitas, offering pathway programmes leading to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Brunel University London (BUL).

The Student Recruitment Manager, based in India, will play a significant role in driving sales growth and achieving student recruitment targets in India on behalf of the College (pathway into Brunel University London), working closely with colleagues based in the college and in-market.

This position will be responsible for on-the-ground sales and recruitment activities including, but not limited to, agent engagement, brand awareness, admissions support, offer-holder conversion and solving specific student, parent or agent queries. This role requires the ability to support a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across India and in the UK to drive long-term growth for Brunel Pathway College.

 

The candidate we seek will ideally have the following:

  • Co-develop and operationalise the India student recruitment growth strategy
  • Collaborate with college-based and in-market teams to achieve ambitious enrolment targets
  • Participate in recruitment events for the College and as required the wider Navitas portfolio
  • Co-develop and take ownership of the College’s annual/monthly/weekly events and activity calendar to generate awareness, interest, enquiries, applications and conversion to enrolment stage
  • Participate in sales activities including, but not limited to, training, events, student conversion, admissions processing, information sessions and managing enquiries/agent requests
  • Deliver market intelligence, insight and accurate sales forecasts through regular and detailed reports to the DMA and SSRM
  • Handle student enquiries and manage leads-Develop and execute offer holders conversion campaigns including and not limited to outbound calls, capturing and updating opportunity status on the CRM system
  • Support with the admissions process including credibility assessment as required-Ensure complete and accurate reporting of all activities on the CRM
  • Coordinate student contact to confirm the outcome of the visa interview
  • Execute the pre-departure process with channel partners and students

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Success in a sales role within the UK Higher Education sector
  • Proven track record of strong sales performance
  • High-level numeric literacy and critical thinking
  • High level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills required in business-level English, both written and spoken
  • Proven ability as a team player
  • Ability to demonstrate innovative thinking
  • An eye for developing new recruitment initiatives
  • Ability to take responsibility for decisions and outcomes
  • Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings in support of recruitment activities both locally and internationally
  • Ability to meet targets within defined timelines among changing priorities

Desirable

  • Studied abroad, ideally in the UK
  • Hands-on student recruitment experience for a UK pathway provider
  • Proven ability to monitor and evaluate the success of activities and report appropriately
  • Proven ability to work successfully with education agents
  • Experience of working effectively within a matrix structure to ensure competing demands are met
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
