Picker Packer - Day Shift

We are currently recruiting on behalf of EVCargo Logistics, Sainsbury’s St. Albans, AL2 1AY for full time Picker Packer roles.

In a Picker Packer role you will be working across all Warehouse Departments on a 5 out of 7 rota, including weekend working, on fixed term contract until July 2021.

You will be involved in the pick operation initially, which involves the use of finger scanners and low lift order pickers (llop) in ambient and chilled environment.

Once trained, subsequently there may be the opportunity to become involved in Reach truck activities dependent on skill requirements .You will also be expected to learn other areas of the operation e.g. transhipments, despatch etc. for our client. Flexibility and attitude are key in these roles.

This is for a fixed term contract until July 2021

Requirements of a Picker Packer:

• You have good literacy skills, with the focus on attention to details.
• You have manual handling experience.
• You have a previous warehouse experience in a similar environment (would be advantageous).

Role of a Picker Packer:

• Picking orders as directed through the Red Prairie system.
• Achieving accuracy rates of 99.8%.
• Achieving the relevant productivity targets ( CPM, Pick rate).
• Working to tight deadlines.
• Maintaining high levels of hygiene.
• Work in a safe manner adhering to all site safety rules.
• As part of a team meet the demands of a major retail customer.
• Maintain the sites environmental targets through correct control of recyclable waste.
• Flexibility in the day to day routine.

Details

• Hourly rate: £11.02 per hour Days
• Performance bonus up to £4.15 per hour
• Fixed rota to work to
• Hours of work: Sunday to Thursday PM Shift(14:00-22:00)
• Full training and support will be provided
• Location: Unit 4, Riverside Industrial Estate, London Colney By Pass, AL2 1AY
