Job Overview:
Search is delighted to partner with a distinguished food manufacturer. My client is presenting an amazing opportunity for an experienced Raw Materials Sampler to join the QA team on the back shift. This role is ideally suited for an individual with previous QA/QC or warehouse operative experience working in a food manufacturing environment. My client is looking for an individual who has a good understanding of food safety standards, HACCP and GMPs. Duties and responsibilities:
• Conduct the sampling of raw materials according to procedures and requirements of production plan
• Coordinate goods in testing, as per risk assessment
• Support raw material monitoring plan by taking samples and sending them for analysis
• Responsible for supplier raw material Certificates of Analysis.
• Coordinate concession, pre-shipment samples and urgent orders with customer support team
• Participate in GMP and hygiene Audits plan and weekly environmental and allergen swabs in production
• Support validation activities (allergen, homogeneity, cleaning, shelf-life)
• Conduct site pre-requisite controls such as; allergens monitoring, environmental monitoring, temperature and humidity records
• Verifying batch documents and labels before releasing them to production for manufacturing
• Assist with induction training for new starters in production
• Lead the handover to the Quality Technologist
Required experience:
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, ideally in a QA/QC or Warehouse environment
• A degree in a science field OR industry experience in a quality/technical role
• Forklift License (desirable)
• Food Safety Level 2
• HACCP Level 2 (desirable)
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Office
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Versatile and able to adapt to re-prioritising
• Ability to work autonomously
• Able to analyse problems, detect root causes and resolve issues
• A proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
